Wow! It is amazing Review by TDG
Not too long ago I found out that I have a genetic condition that is quickly aging my joints - an eighty-year-old body on someone who is less than fifty! I had been walking three to four miles a day when all of a sudden my hip decided that enough was enough. It became so bad that I couldn't even walk one step without agonizing pain. So...after trying scores of machines (just about every brand out there), I bought the Octane. I could not be happier. It was the only machine that felt truly comfortable at whatever stride length I chose. Somedays my hip likes an eighteen inch stride, and other days it likes the twenty-two inch stride. The wireless heartrate monitor is perfectly accurate, and the programs are varied enough that I don't get bored. The machine is also incredibly quiet - quiet enough to use at 4:00 in the morning when everyone else is asleep. In fact, tha machine is upstairs, and neither my son (in the next room) nor my husband (on the main floor right under the machine) are woken up when I use it.
When my hip is flaring up, I can use this elliptical without any pain at all, even when walking is very painful. I am one very happy costomer. (Posted on 3/29/11) -
Lower Backpain -Q47E Review by Dave
I had previously bought an elliptical not manufactured by Octane with a pre-set 19 3/4" stride length. It was not apparent to me then how important a longer stride length could be when you are 6'3" in height. However, after using that particular elliptical for two weeks I began experiencing lower back pain. After conferring with my physician , my personal trainer and [HealthStyles], the consensus opinion was the necessity for me to have an elliptical with a stride length that was adjustable and longer. Upon assessing the various options with HealthStyles, the elliptical that stood out among the others was the Octane Q47e. I chose it mainly because of the SmartStride system which customizes my stride, depending upon my exercise regime, to a maximum length of 26". After taking delivery of the Octane Q47e, the difference in comfort and feel compared to the previous elliptical was dramatic. I also really enjoy the other features such as the X-Mode setting that enhances and diversifies the entire workout. Since using the Octane Q47e, I have not experienced any lower back pain. I am now excited about the prospects of reaching my fitness goals due to the design and innovation of the Octane Q47e. Thank you again for introducing me to the Octane line of products, particularly the Q47e. (Posted on 3/29/11)
