Motivation for Exercise
Like the famous quote from Legally Blonde, “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands, they just don't.” a study has found that exercise does truly make you happier.
Exercise is well-known for its health benefits such as keeping your heart healthy and maintaining a healthy weight. Exercise also spurs the brain to release endorphins, a fell-good chemical that promotes happiness.
Researchers from Penn State University tracked the daily activities of 190 college-age students and found that the more physical active people are, the more likely they were to report greater general feelings of excitement and enthusiasm.
Another study in the Journal of Business and Psychology found that bosses who don’t take the time to exercise are more stressed and are more likely to lash out at their employees. Another study, reported by the Times of India, found that the more stressed a boss was, the more likely the employees were to say they felt they were being victimized. So break the cycle of stress, be happy, and go enjoy your run!
